BIOGRAPHY

One of the main reasons I followed my passion to become a full time freelance photographer was to capture images that would in some way help and impact a positive social & environmental change. To help in some way to prevent some of the injustices and inhumane treatment suffered around the Globe today.

Obviously the world has been totally over saturated with imagery for a long time now and to believe that a single shot can make an impact and “Change the World” is perhaps too simplistic and naive, however my “raison d’etre” is precisely that.

My business has been mainly focused on corporate events, Seminars, award ceremonies, charity fundraising events and profile and website images and I have been lucky enough to work with some inspiring entrepreneurs and people who have done so much for society. Through social media and my network I’ve also been able to contribute and hope to continue!

I really loved taking portrait shots for an article in the Oldie for Erin Pizzey, founder of 1970’s refuge for battered people. She is a truly inspiring person and has become a good friend.

I am lucky that I have had the opportunity to shoot a whole range of different photography and love new challenges with the exception of paparazzi and glamour; which I prefer not to do!

I love to promote ethical photography and would love to do more editorial and journalist work and to continue to working in events, food and with people.

Ideally would love to expand my existing business and work with even more inspiring entrepreneurs and people who also want to make a positive contribution as well as focusing on food and products photography at my studio in Twickenham.

My dream is to connect like-minded people who want to make a positive difference to world climate and poverty and who are passionate about the planet.  I hope to realize this through my photography.

I have extensive experience photographing seminars, conferences and speakers as well as many other events, recently photographed “Make it Big in 2011” with James Caan from Dragons Den and Kevin Green from Secret Millionaire Channel 4’s program – both Kevin and James are truly inspirational people a who are actively making a difference and I’m enjoying working with them both.

I am also the official photographer for The Financial Times Events including FT Environmental Awards and the FT Sustainable Banking awards when I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Sir Bob Geldof – always outspoken, but a truly passionate speaker!

I am confident that I represent their events with passion and give them images that will help their cause to make a positive difference!

I have always loved photography. I started taking loads of pictures when I was about 9 years old (when my neighbour Brian gave me my first camera, a Zenith!)

I decided to follow my passion and become a professional photographer during my time with the ITF when I travelled to many parts of Europe and was asked to capture the tennis players in action in New Delhi at a Women's $50,000 event for their magazine. It was then that I realised I wanted to follow photography as my profession.

During the last eleven years I have successfully built an impressive photography portfolio.

My client list includes not only large blue-chip companies such as M&S, Heinz, L'Oreal and Estée Lauder but also charitable organisations, such as WWF, Galapagos Trust,  Mind and the Tibet Foundation. I also enjoy working with well-known musicians, Courtney Pine & Lionel Ritchie; and have photographed many events and venues (including the Grand Prix Ball and private events at Hampton Court Palace)

There are lots of examples of my work on the site and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to see more images.

I am a member of SICIP (Society of Corporate & Industrial Photographers)  and have a BA degree in Multimedia & Photography as well as a member of SWPP & BPPA (Professional Wedding & Portrait Societies)& SINWP (Nature Photographers).

I combine state-of-the-art digital technology with a blend of imagination, originality and professionalism providing food photography of the highest contemporary quality,  PR images, corporate events, venues & interiors as well as innovative musicians' portfolios & CD cover images.

I cover UK and Worldwide and offer secure on line proofing usually on line the day after the shoot  as well as  a professional print ordering service with next day delivery though Loxley Printers.

I love to travel and consider myself an environmentalist. I hope my portfolio also includes contemporary and often thought-provoking images from my travels in the nature stock library.

I also really enjoy social events especially weddings, christenings and Bar Mitzvahs. I love children and have 2 lovely boys of my own so have great fun photographing families.

I sponsor a child through World Vision  (I chose the name for my company World Vision Photos before I had heard of the charity and this is why I chose to be involved with World Vision rather than any other charity)

The little boy I am sponsoring is called Simon, he's 11 years old, just two years older than my boy and is orphaned  living in a small village in Uganda.  He had Malaria a couple of years ago but now is OK and doing well at school.

Through World Vision I give a monthly amount which helps him to go to school, pays for his school books as well as helping towards his food and accommodation.  At Christmas they give you an option to help the village by buying a chicken or goat.  I receive a letter from Simon about twice a year to let me know how he is getting on to donate click here.

I hope to do more humanitarian work through my photography.
